School is over

Ketty, Jake's mother, died today. It's been a long night full of tears, relatives coming and going, a desperate son and a devasteted daughter standing close to their dying mom. A she-lion who struggle until the very end, until she finally gave in to the illness she has been fighting for months.
She used to be a school teacher for kids between 11 and 13.
When Jake asked me what he was going to do now, I just could not reply. The siblings had such a strong relationship with their mom, who raised them as a single mom. She just had an incredible life, full of pain and satisfactions too.
When I was alone, while Jake was by his dead mother, I thought that in a certain way school is over for the two guys. They had a teacher following them and teaching them as much as she could for all her life. Now they will have to apply all they've been taught to their own excistence, and I just cannot imagin how hard it could be for people used to ask for advice and try to have directions.
Jake told me he thinks his mother left them at the verge of seeing them in a stable way -- they're both buying a house on their own --
Jake also confessed me his desire for having a kid is even stronger now, even if he knows it can't be since he just cannot afford it.
I am over tired nowm even if I slept a little both here at home and at Jake's.
Better going and get some rest because tomorrow I am going to start working again.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday, I will have to see how I can be there.
